Business Energetics

False Start or Quantum Leap?

Claudia Comtois Season 4 Episode 25

If the beginning of this year already feels messy, heavy, or off-track then this episode is for you.

In this first episode of Business Energetics for 2026, Claudia breaks the illusion of the “false start” and reframes it for what it really is: the run-up before your biggest leap.

We talk about:

  • Why going “backwards” is often part of the momentum
  • How 2025’s shedding phase prepared you for a new decade
  • Why energy and mindset come before strategy
  • How to stop letting negative noise (media, people, pressure) drain your vision
  • The “bacon philosophy” —> why done is better than perfect
  • Why you don’t need permission, mastery, or confidence to start
  • How AI and automation are becoming the next unfair advantage
  • And how to stop disqualifying yourself before you even try

This episode is part mindset reset, part energetic recalibration, and part practical wake-up call.

You’re not late.
You’re not behind.
You’re lining up for the jump.

So what we're not gonna do this year is judge ourselves because we are not in line with our goals as I'm recording this, we're at the end of January. And if you have already done your vision board, or maybe you haven't had the time to do it, and you're just looking at everything going on around you, and it feels like this year is gonna be another one of those years where you're just gonna go with the flow, try to survive, try to make it happen, and find yourself in a media storm. And then it's already end of the year and we're celebrating the new year again. No, no, no, no, no. Not under my watch. I'm telling you this. If you feel like the beginning of the year has been already crazy and you're like, am I ever gonna be on track with hitting these beautiful, ambitious goals? This is gonna be the episode for you because we're gonna talk about false starts and we're gonna talk about how life can be funny sometimes because what can look like a setback can be a setup. For a comeback, welcome to Business Energetics, where remix business strategy with the power of energy to unlock our full potential. I'm your host Claudia, founder of Alchemy Media. Join us each week for insightful in. Talk provoking discussions and practical tips to alchemy success from within. Don't forget to leave us a positive review and to subscribe with offered a review. Get ready to amplify your business potential and ignite your inner fire. Welcome to Business Energetics. Let's talk about giant leaps. A lot of you guys are experiencing a little bit of like the residue I would call of 2025, where we knew in astrology, in Chinese astrology, it was the year of the serpent. And so a lot of you guys, including myself. Have been to an intense year of shedding. That means letting go of anything that no longer serves us. Whether it's partners that are no longer suited for the person we wanna become, or how we wanna raise our family, or just, it's a misalignment where we're with, where we're going. Or maybe it's you had a complete career shift, or maybe you moved abroad. Maybe you're just reevaluating your circumstances and feeling like, who am I gonna be in this next decade of my life? So it was a year of really looking at everything that is not working. And that is sometimes the hardest part. It's kind of like you're moving into a new house, but you are going through boxes and you're like, what am I gonna take to this new house? And what am I gonna leave behind? So we were in this phase of kind of like the beautiful mess or the unsexy chaos, if that makes sense. But we are moving into the year of the horse, and not only the horse, but the. Fire your horse. So, and, and also that there's like a lot of transitions going on. Um, I just learned that today is the transition of Neptune, which was in Pisces, I believe, and is going into Aries. So whatever. Aries or Neptune is in your life, like look at it in your bird chart. If you don't know where to find that, definitely DM me and I'll, I'll give you a few resources. I believe there's like Astro Cafe where you can build your bird chart yourself, and there's a lot of resources, but these things are important because there is a law called so above, so below. So within, so without, and this is supposed to be the law of how the universe works. So whatever happens in the stars, it also happens in our lives. And yeah, so do what you want with that type of information. That was my little astrological, section of the, the, our talk that we're gonna have today. But I wanna talk about giant leaps. Sometimes it feels like we're going backwards. It feels like, Claudia, I've already done the shadow work, like I've hired a psychologist, like I've burned my limitations, like I've tapped it away, I meditated, I've visualized like I affirmed, like what am I supposed to do next? Like I just feel like although I did all the right things, it feels like I took a step back. But I wanna bring you to this metaphor, which is. If you have watched Olympics, which it's right around the corner, I think in February, we're gonna see the, the Winter Olympics. And in the summer Olympics you have the big leaps. I don't know what the actual term is, but it's the people that just jump as far as they can follow me on that before they jump. They don't just walk up to the line and jump? No, no, no. A lot of them will run until the line. So they will back it up and then they will run, and then when they hit that line, they will jump. And that's how they take their leaps. So a lot of us right now are feeling in our lives where we have been going backwards. But it's actually you setting yourself up so that you can run to that line where you're gonna take the biggest leap of your life. So instead of seeing it like, ooh, the beginning of the year was kind of a bit of a false start, I want you to see it as you were positioning yourself in order to be able to run towards your big leap. So we're just gonna restructure that a little bit. This happens to me too. Everything I share with you guys, it's, I either lived myself or I've had people around me live it, or I've had like close proximity to the situations. So what I'm experiencing right now is at the beginning of the year, I had like a massive. Like cold or flu or COVID like symptoms. And it really took, I would say, the first two weeks of the year to kind of come back. Like I had low iron. It was hard. You guys, my energy was just down the drain. I had. So many issues. Like I was trying to order a fricking desk, like a standup desk for my new office, and I ordered it on the 29th of December after doing like two years of research and making sure it's the right model, right size, like everything I want, and then when I ordered it. They messed up my order so many times. Like I went to pick it up in store. It said that it was there, that it wasn't there. Then they said, we're gonna deliver to your house. And then I stayed all day to wait for the delivery like nine days later. And then they said, oh, well we're, we couldn't deliver because. Um, we were at, at the address for 15 minutes and nobody came. And then when I saw the picture, it was not even my house. And I was like, why didn't you guys call me? And then they were like, oh, we tried to call you. And then he sent me the screenshots, which I didn't receive in my phone. Turns out I'm in this, uh, Bermuda Triangle with my phone company, and they said, oh yeah, sometimes like the, the. I don't know the waves or something, they can't get to your house 'cause you're too far from an antenna or something. But I've had the same phone for like the same company for like 10, 15 years. So I'm like, why is it now happening? Anyways? So this is all crazy, crazy, crazy. And this is what I call recalibrating. It's just the rest, the mess of last year that we just had to like finish the last cleanup. But as I'm recording this, we just hit a massive transition, like I said in astrology, and we are moving into the next decade. The next decade of amazing momentum and, and movement forward. So if the last decade of your life felt like heavy and you went through a lot of karmic clearance and you just like, you know, you, you had some hard lessons and business in your career, you always felt like you weren't taken for the next promotion or people were passing you by in all sorts of parts of your life, and you just felt like, when is it gonna be my turn? I am telling you, your turn is now. It is now. Okay. I want you to declare it. I want you to embrace it. I want you to know and feel and expect. Another concept that I wanna see with you guys is, and today's gonna be more of a mindset slash energy slash let's set our vision straight for the year. Because when I give my course or when I, I have coaching clients, I always tell them energy first, mindset first. If your mind, if your energy is not into it, I don't care how many action steps you take, it's gonna be 10 times harder, you guys. So that's why this episode is all about setting your mind right. If you keep listening to videos that are negative. I'm talking about the social medias. We're scrolling and it's news after news, after news, after news. I understand we need to be informed, but you guys were turning into our parents. You know, I remember growing up, or even my grandparents, which I love very much, but the habit was, the news is always on on tv. That was the habit. You walked in the house. The news is on TV now today. It is on our phones. I don't know what they did to the TikTok algorithms and all the things. Thank God in Canada, we don't have news for Facebook and Instagram, but for TikTok, every other post is something tragic going on with the us. I just can't, like it's too much you guys and, and there is something called overload of negative news. And we're surrounded by, by that. It's like this year we had, like, I'm talking about Quebec. We, first of all, we had our prime minister who resigned, like who does that? And then we had our, uh, PM for Quebec who resigned as well. And I understand like, you know, the history and everything they did and everything. But there is a responsibility when a whole nation of people elect someone. To at least make it until the end of, of their, their, their four years of, you know, power. I don't know. I was raised to go, um, full in, in everything I do. I'm not in politics, so maybe it's different. Maybe they were forced to resign. I have no clue. But I just feel like we've been let down by everything. We've been let down by the media. We've been let down by our politicians. We've been let down by by. A lot of sources, but the person we're not gonna let down this year is ourselves and our dreams and our businesses. If you are surrounded right now with people who do not see your vision, and when I say that, I wanna be very clear. I'm talking about the people that downplay it. I'm talking about the people that do not react to it. I gave a very important news, To someone near me recently and it was a big moment that I'm going to be sharing about in the upcoming weeks and I was so excited to share and it was like a big milestone and the person like did not react. It was like, okay, good. That is as damageable as somebody who laughs at your dreams.'cause you are expecting the people around you to support you and to be excited for you just as much as you're excited for their dreams. So if you're surrounded with people like that, I'm not saying ditch everyone. That was 2025. That was 2025. We, we, we had to clean it up. And of course if there's people that don't, are not allowed to be in your life, like please get them out. But what I'm saying is sometimes it's not about cutting everyone off. And isolating ourselves, but it's about managing what level of information do you give to whom? Because there are people that are very, very amazing people, but they have their own limited beliefs. And sometimes when you do something that is beyond what they deem possible, reasonable, or acceptable. They react in a way where they almost transpose themselves in the story, so they react as how would people react if that happened to me? But that's not what you're asking. You're just asking for support for somebody to be happy for you, for somebody to be encouraging. But people can only meet you at the level that they've met themselves and people grow. I'm not the person that I was 10 years ago. And I probably had reactions that were like underwhelming, but I am doing the work every single day to make sure that I become a better version of myself and that I don't repeat these cycles. So that's why I'm saying you don't have to cut off everyone, but it's just manage what level of information you give to whom so that you protect yourself. Because it's not just about others, it's about protecting you, your inner child, yourself. So another thing that I wanna talk about is I saw a video and it was the funniest thing, okay? Because if you're a little bit type A like me, you will a hundred percent understand. And even if you're not, you will, I'm pretty sure it was a lady that was saying A lot of you wanna be vegetarians. But you're saying, oh, but I could never, because I love bacon too much. And then the video was so simple. I don't even remember the rest of the video. And I, I wish I could quote the person 'cause she was like hilarious and so truthful. But I, there's too many videos. I don't know. I don't remember. So she said, okay, so you're telling me you wanna be a vegetarian, but you love bacon too much. So be a vegetarian with bacon. Like how? I don't know you guys. When I heard that, I was like, oh wait, that is revolutionary. Okay. And maybe it's because I was hungry. I don't know. Maybe I love bacon too much. But what I'm saying is how many times do we feel like we're not even gonna try something because we're not checking all the boxes. Where in our beliefs, in ourselves, we're restraining ourselves so much that we have to be a perfect version of, of something in order to even try. Just because you're doing something that doesn't fit anywhere or doesn't check all the boxes of a category, you can still do it. I'm gonna give you an example. I'm somebody. Like, I believe in God, I believe in, um, doing unto others what you want for yourself. Like, just like, you know, being a positive person, like impacting the world for good and everything. But I am not religious. I don't go to the church every Sunday. That's just not something that I do. Um, I have all my baptisms and all the things you want, but I don't follow like the doctrine and other things. And what I love to do is I love to learn about other people's religions or spiritual beliefs and things like that, and I like to take little bites out of everything that I love. Like I'll take a little bit of Buddhism, I'll take a little bit of shamanism, a little bit of astrology, a little bit of spirituality. Like everything that just feels right in my soul, I will take and integrate. And so therefore. I cannot say I'm this or that religion, or I'm this label because I am a puzzle filled with all these beautiful images and pieces that just like somewhere somewhat fit together and I'm inviting you to do the same. I think I shared this stat in another um, episode, but maybe it was years ago, so I don't even remember the stat was. I think it's like 80% of women will not apply to a job if they don't check all of the requirements, but 80% of men will apply to a job if they have at least one or two of the requirements. Do you see the difference here? Some people disqualify themselves. Before they get the rejection, they don't even give themselves the permission to try. This is the bacon. It's like, Ooh. But I check all of the vegetarian boxes, like I eat leafy greens. I, you know, I integrate some animal products. I'm not a vegan, but I don't eat other meats than bacon. So therefore, you're not even gonna try because bacon. So try this in your life because this one is for my, my Perfection Perfectionists. This year it, it goes with the bacon. This year, this is gonna be our model. You guys done is better than perfect. Done is better than perfect. Let's say a third time done is better than perfect. Okay, I, I wanna hear, can I get, so I wanna hear you say it. I am teaching a lot of women right now to learn AI and integrate it, and we're gonna come out with like a few trainings and at all CMY Media because we're moving full in and in automations and ai. And a lot of people are like, Ooh, but I don't even know how to do X, Y, Z. And I'm here to tell you guys I didn't know either. Everything I know today, like I'm laughing. I'm sorry you guys, but it's just like, it's funny the things that we tell ourselves and I'm laughing with you because I'm like that too. So it's easier for me to tell on a podcast what you guys can do than to to do it myself. But I try to respect my doctrine as well. Let's, let's. Ditch the fact that we don't know how to do something. Okay. This year. I don't know how else to say it, like maybe I have to write it on a billboard and, and take a snapshot of it and post it somewhere. But this year we are trying, done is better than perfect. We're trying, we're being vegetarians with bacon. Like, okay, this is what we're doing, or we're being carnivores with. Leafy greens and carbs. I don't know. Whatever you want. Okay? We are born without walking, you guys. We are born without walking. Everything you do today, the fact that you know a language, the fact that you know how to write, the fact that you know how to use a computer, a phone, whatever. You had to learn 'cause you're not born with that. So therefore, if you look at all of the things you do in a day, walking, cooking, eating, dancing, working out like, like sending an email, all of these things were learned. So therefore anything else you wanna accomplish in your life can also be learned. So that's what we're gonna do. We're gonna stop being intimidated. I come from a background of marketing and finance, and I can tell you this, as I was doing my bachelor's in, uh, finance, in the, the market finance, not the corporate, but the market, so everything with the stock market and all the things, I came across a text. And these are like the summaries, you know, the meeting where they're telling you what shoes they're gonna buy for the economic like overview and things like that. And what I noticed is that not any of the sentences had the same words, and it was paragraphs and paragraphs and paragraphs of texts about the economy, which is supposed to be understood by every single one, because we're all contributing at the end of the year with our taxes. Like we are the economy, so we should, we should understand what the, the government's doing with our money. And when I read this paragraphs and paragraphs, I wondered why is it that not a single word like a finance word repeats. And this is where I learned that there's about five to 10 different different ways to say a single word in finance. And this is. Purposely done to make it complicated because if you make it too simple, the market can react too unpredictably and that can mess things up. So on purpose, it it, it is made to be more complex, which it's not that complicated, it's just all the words they're using and things like that. The same thing is going on right now with ai. Every time I log online, there's a new thing. Now it's like the agentic protocol for commerce. What the hell is that? We already know what it is. It's just a way to program your products in your online shop so that it's recognized by ai. And then there's all these terms and protocols and things, and everything is made on purpose to be complicated. So that's why this year I'm making it a mission to learn it and simplify it. I've done this before where I like when I personally was starting to invest in crypto, I had to learn everything myself. And I remember we were a bunch of women together in a group, like about 10,000. We were all trying to learn what it is, how it works, like. Back when I started to invest, you couldn't even buy it on like, uh, there's like apps today where you can just go on the app and you just each transfer yourself money and then you buy. That didn't exist back then. You had to download a key and you had to have an external USB key where you stored your money. That was called a cold wallet. Like everything was so hard. And the more we evolved in that world and the, the easier it got, but also the more rules and the less opportunities. So we went from the far west to like a straight up capitalistic bank led market, which is when I exited. The same thing is happening right now with ai. There are opportunities right now in your life where it may be a little bit more complicated. And the market may be a little bit underserved, but this is where the opportunity lies. This is the year where you're gonna learn a skill that is gonna be seen as complicated by others, but it's gonna be, it's gonna become easy for you. So I want you to start, this is gonna be your homework, you guys. I want you to start looking for a specific skill in your industry. That is seen as hard. And I'm gonna give you an example. You're gonna laugh'cause this is so simple. Remember when, um, people would just send you lists in Excel and it was like a long sentence, like a word, comma a word, comma a word, comma. So nothing was in columns and it was like all jumbled up. And then if you know, like if you're a little bit of a Excel whiz or you found that trick online, you know that there's a trick to turn everything that's separated by a comma into columns. And it's like within a minute, not even like, it's super easy. And that used to be a trick that I would use in my job where it's like everybody's like, oh, we can't, it will take hours to just. You know, go through these lists and lists of data and classify them. Maybe we should hire like a student to do it and I would do it in less time, of course. And um, and then it was always like a surprise. And then awe. So find that little Excel column trick, like that small little niche thing that you can do. That's going to give a wow effect until people figure it out. And then you find another skill for me this year is gonna be ai. I'm making a mission to teach it to you guys. If you don't know, if you're not, uh, following me on social media. I did run a five day AI challenge where I showed you guys how to turn one piece of content into 50 pieces of content without having to redo, refill or anything, and how to automate it on all your social media so you have content every single day of the month. I also showed you how to create your own AI avatar twin, so that the twin can literally create content for you regardless of how, what you look like if your hair is done, your makeup done, whatever, you can just read a text. It's going to have your mimics your reactions, and it's going to do the video for you. I show you how to automate your dms on Facebook, on Instagram. Um, I showed you how to automate when you have people joining your group, how to collect emails and build your emails. Like so many things in that five days. So many things. I showed you how to create an entire PowerPoint presentation using a single prompt and, and have like all of your trainings done like that. I showed you how to do market research, like I'm gonna drop all of these in the show notes. If you go, um, on the main page of the podcast, it'll be in the show notes, I think on Spotify is gonna show up to an Apple. So I'm using, um, bus sprout. So. Whenever I use that, it's redistributed everywhere. So it should be accessible everywhere. So if you guys wanna go through this five day challenge, I highly, highly recommend it's gonna be happening in my group called AI Queens. And even if you don't identify as a queen, you are more than welcome. Um, the, the training is the same, it's just that it's a little bit more pink and fun. So. What I'm going to close that with is this year I want you to start automating your life. I want you to identify what the noises are in your day to day, because we're not gonna relive another year where you feel like you're falling short of your goals. That's a no-no. That's not happening. We're gonna dream bigger and better and further this year. I don't care what's happening in the world. I care about what's happening in your world. And what we're gonna do is we're gonna identify all of these little time suckers that are in your life. That's gonna be your homework. What are the tasks or the things around you that are noise? Sometimes it's clutter. Some of us can't work if there's clutter in our offices. Some of us it's, oh, the dishes need to be done for this. Maybe you need to get out the house to work. If that's you, maybe you wanna work in a cafe. Like we're just gonna, we're gonna identify and then we're gonna find a solution. If it's, I hate going through my emails, we're gonna start looking into apps like copilot or copilot. Apps that go through your Gmail to your Outlook that can read your emails for you and simplify and just tell you which emails you need to respond, which you, you don't have to respond like we're gonna automate your life. Um, and I, and that goes for everything. I'm gonna give you a, a little story. Once again before we close that out and that, that is the story of the birthday cards. If my sisters are listening, they're gonna laugh because we have had that bad habit, that noise in our lives for forever, okay? And that is, I don't know why, but ever since we were little. Every time it's somebody's birthday. In our family, like our close family, for some reason, we buy the card like the day of or like the day before, last minute, and then we have to rush and hide during, during the birthday to go and sign it. That is such a bad habit, you guys, and so much noise for no reason. That is noise. That is considered noise. So what I'm talking about noise is those little irritants that are repeated every single year or every single season, every single day. Whatever your, your timeframe is that are noise. Like why am I doing this all the time? Okay. That's noise. Perfect. Can I automate, can I put some AI on this? You're gonna wanna make sure you're inside AI queens so that you know, we find solutions together. So one thing that I learned and that was like, it's so obvious when I tell you you're gonna be like, uh, okay. Like revolutionary. But one thing that I realized is that every single year is the same in the sense that, you know, when's gonna be Valentine's Day? Okay? If there's men listening right now and you have a significant order in your life, I don't wanna hear it. Like she better have some nice flowers, chocolate like dining experiences in the restaurant. You can reserve today, you can reserve today. You don't have to wait the day before to try to book something, and then the restaurant's full because everybody's trying to book at the same time. Okay, so here's the deal. Valentine's Day, and then if you're celebrating Easter. Then we have Mother's Day, father's Day, and then what is it? Halloween or back to school, or maybe Apple picking Christmas. So all of these things, the birthdays that are repeating, like all of these things, for some reason we're acting like they're brand new every single year. So what do we do? And this is noise, what we do? Oh. It's Christmas. What do I have to do? I have to run, oh my God. We need tissue. We need bags. We need wrapping paper. We need to buy toys. We need to buy this, that, that, that. What I'm gonna tell you here is you should not be surprised by the things that are coming back over and over and over, and you already know the date in your life that is noise and that is creating a lot of noise. Right before the events and it's probably driving you crazy. So what we're gonna do, for example, is we're gonna buy gifts during the year when they're on sale, when there's like a big, uh, points promotion. So not only are we gonna pay less, we're gonna buy our wrapping paper right after Christmas when everything is 80% off. We're gonna buy our chocolate right after Valentine's Day for Easter'cause it's the same chocolate, except if it's like in a hard shape. You see where I'm going? There are things that are predictable in your life, but there are things that are predictable in your day-to-day work. I'm gonna focus on your work things in my group so that we can clarify this noise. The rest is gonna be up to you though, because this is how we change. We can't keep seeing, oh, well, it's always been like that. It's always gonna be like that, or, oh, it just happened. Oh, I forgot. No, no, no, no, no, no. Not with today's technology where there's a million different reminders and we know about this stuff, and of course life happens. Okay. If you're a new mom and you're still postpartum. And you're, you don't even know if you washed your hair this week because you're so overwhelmed. You've been wearing the same clothes for three days. Now listen, this is not the time to start to restrategize your life if you're in survival mode. You need to get out of the surviving before you can start driving. So I'm not talking to the people that are barely making it like you're sick. Like for example, me at the beginning of the year, I like, I had trouble just like eating and I was just sleeping and it was just hard. That was not the moment for me to, oh, what are gonna be the my goals for the year, and how am I gonna reestablish my habits? No, and it's important to have compassion for yourself when you're in these moments. If you're going through grief. Sickness. If you're going through like big, massive changes, maybe you're moving, maybe you're getting married. It's not the moment to, to take care of all the other things. You have different priorities. So of course make it fit. But, so that's what we're gonna do. We're gonna prioritize and hopefully not, hopefully we're gonna have to make it happen. And I'm winking here to my sisters. We gotta stop doing this sh. I'm not gonna swear, but we gotta stop doing this with the birthday card. And if you've been a victim of our birthday card saga, just know that we, the, the words that we put in the cards are still super meaningful. We still love you tons probably, but the gifts before. But that card, that card, I'm telling you, that card, if it gets written on the same day, we're gonna sh like this year, we make it a commitment to fix it. Okay? I'm committing to this with you guys. Please. Um, if I forget, make me report back in December. We'll see how it goes. But for the rest, I'm gonna wish you an amazing new year. This is an exciting year of momentum. This is a one year, okay, so in the numerology, if you add 2026, it's six plus two plus two plus zero, which is 10. But you have to do zero plus one. That's how it works. So it's a year one. So we're in a year one, meaning we are starting a new decade. This is the new nine year cycle. That's why I'm saying momentum. It's gonna be a beautiful year of growth, positivity, uh, abundance, uh, health, spirituality, business, and thriving. So I love you guys very much.
